| Appraisers Funny Story | ||
THE RETURN OF CUJO When I approached the door of my 4:15 appointment I got this kind of weird feeling. Sometimes when you visit different houses you get a vibe that you’ve either been there before or something strange is going to happen, and this was the vibe that I got. A somewhat eccentric woman greeted me at the door. She looked as if she was still at Woodstock, and trapped in that era. She let me in and immediately I thought to myself, “oh gosh, what have I gotten into!” On top of there being very little room to walk through the home because of mountains of clutter everywhere, she had two huge cages, both contained two huge dogs. Although I thought this was rather unusual, I continued with my inspection. I got to the third bedroom, almost home free, and the homeowner runs up screaming. “Don’t go in there, don’t go in there. There’s another dog in there and he’d attack you if you went in there!” During that time, I guess we had awakened the beast. The next thing I knew there was this pounding and growling at the door, I thought the dog was going to break the door down. I quickly finished up my inspection and got the heck out of there before Cujo broke out! |
